From the President’s Desk,
Hello, my name is Dick Wilcox and I am the President of the Hardin Community Federal Credit Union. I would like to take this opportunity to communicate with our members and other interested parties about the safety and soundness of our Credit Union and touch on a few of our plans for the future.
As we wrap up the first half of 2008, I am proud to report that we have assets totaling $37.2million, 7,533 voting members, Net Worth of 10.30%, Return on Assets (ROA) of 0.71% and delinquent loans at 0.33%. All of our safety and soundness guidelines are within allowable parameters and member satisfaction is at an all time high. I believe it is safe to say that YOUR credit union is on solid ground and heading into the future with the technology, products & services that you have come to expect at low or no cost from the Hardin Community Credit Union. To date our Management Team has completed 70% of our annual goals and have began planning for 2009 and beyond.
The future planning for our credit union is ongoing and our Managers monitor monthly. As far back as 2003 our Management Team and Board of Directors began an evaluation of Hardin County markets that have a concentration of members with the population to support a branch facility. After much discussion, planning and a strenuous search for the “right location” we are pleased to announce that the Hardin Community Federal Credit Union has purchased a building in Ada (232 N. Main St) and will begin planning for the construction of a new “GREEN Branch” in 2009. The existing building will be razed with as much material recycled as possible. This process should be complete by Labor Day and will provide a clean canvas to begin our new facility construction. Planning and design is underway to develop a member friendly “GREEN” facility that will protect the visual integrity of the downtown while providing our community with all of the modern features that Hardin Community has become known for. We will continue to research further expansion within Hardin County and I will keep you posted as our Ada Branch progresses.
The Board of Directors and Staff of the Credit Union would like to thank you for your continued patronage. We hope that you watch this page for future updates on new products and services, and I will write you all a quick note on occasion to keep you informed of our financial position and progress we are making on adding the benefits that you, our Members, are asking for.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about your Credit Union. We wish you all a Safe & Happy Summer!
Dick Wilcox, President
Board of Directors
