From the President’s Desk,

Hello, my name is Dick Wilcox and I am the newly elected President of the Hardin Community Federal Credit Union. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and recap our 2007 Annual Meeting. For those of you who do not know me, I am a graduate of Kenton High School and a lifelong resident of Lynn Township. After high school I received an Associate’s Degree from Midwestern College in Tool & Die Engineering and served in the Army and I am a Vietnam Veteran. I married Carol Hommel and we have two grown children, Rodney and Dustin (Dacy). I retired from Rockwell Automotive and continue to raise cattle and grain on my family farm. My interests include serving as an officer with the local Moose Lodge, serving on the Hardin County Regional Planning Commission, managing the Cattlemen’s Steak Tent at the Fair, serving as a Lynn Township Trustee and spending time with our grandson Kolby. I am proud to serve as the new President of the Credit Union and welcome your thoughts and comments.

On March 9, 2008 we held our 39th Annual Meeting and Member Appreciation at the Hardin County Armory. Allen Barrett, Ron Rogers and Jeff Beach were all elected to serve another term on the Board of Directors while David Sturgeon was tapped to serve a third term on the Credit Committee. The Annual Report was presented to the membership with total assets ending the year at $33,704,716. Membership growth was strong for 2007 with a total of 7,464 members at year end. Net Income was on target with our budget at $311,149 or 0.95% ROA. 2007 brought many new additions with an expanded CU@Home Online Banking and CU*Easy Pay and we will continue to bring our members what they have come to expect from Hardin Community FCU, the industry leader in technology.

Following the Annual Meeting, the Board of Directors reorganized officers for the year and they are as follows; Dick Wilcox- President, Allen Barrett-Vice President and Jackie Brown-Secretary/Treasurer. David Sturgeon will chair the Credit Committee with Sarah Wirbel as Chair of the Supervisory Committee. Jeff Beach accepted the Appointment of Security Officer.

2008 will be a year in which the Board of Directors and Management will focus on the continuous improvement of financial strength, safety and soundness and growth of the Credit Union in terms of members and physical presence within Hardin County. The Hardin Community Federal Credit Union is managed by and with the assistance of our members. Please feel free to contact the CEO with any comments and/or suggestions.

The Board of Directors and Staff of the Credit Union are proud of our achievements and humbled by the support and continued patronage that we receive from our community. We hope that you watch this page for future updates on new products and services, and I will write you all a quick note on occasion to keep you informed of our financial position and progress we are making on adding the benefits that you, our Members are asking for. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about your Credit Union. We wish you all a Safe and Happy Spring!
